John's banking career began in 1963.  He served as President of Century Bank of the Ozarks from 1972 until 1999 when he assumed the duties of Chief Executive Officer, John is now Chairman of Century Bank of the Ozarks.  He is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

His community activities include Lions Club, Hootin an Hollarin, Ozark County Interagency Council, DOW Hammond Mill Camp and Gainesville Park Board.  He also is an active member of First Christian Church.
