Corey was raised on a beef farm near Gainesville and still participates in that family operation.  He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BS in Agricultural Economics.  Corey is also a graduate of the Missouri School of Banking.  

His community activities include Ozark County Chamber of Commerce, Cattlemen's Association, and Gainesville Lions Club.
